Who we are

Craggo is a social climbing app developed by Morten Brandanger. The app is available as a web app (craggo.no) and iOS app.

What data we collect

• Account information: Name, email address, username and optional profile picture.
• Climbing data: Logged routes, grades, quality ratings and comments you enter.
• Social data: Who you follow, reactions and comments on others' climbs.
• Location data: Only when you actively choose 'Nearest' sorting. Not stored.

How we use the data

• Display your climbing log, statistics and progression
• Show a social feed with friends' activity
• Send notifications about reactions, comments and trip invitations
• Improve the app based on feedback

Data sharing

We never sell your data. Your climbing log is visible to other users in the app (feed, leaderboard). Your profile (name, username) is visible to other users.

Third parties

• Neon (database): Stores all data. EU-based (Frankfurt).
• Vercel (hosting): Runs the web app.
• Google (authentication): Used for Google login. We receive name and email.
• Expo (push notifications): Used to send push notifications to the iOS app.

Storage and deletion

Your data is stored as long as you have an account. You can delete your account by contacting us. All data is deleted upon account deletion.

Cookies

We use a session cookie for login. No tracking or analytics cookies.
